Ask your AI about your net worth
3 min read
Money spread across a bank, a brokerage and two currencies does not answer questions. Ask what it all comes to, how much of the cash is sitting idle, or which accounts are in euros, and the honest answer is an evening with statements and a spreadsheet.
Moflow keeps those accounts in one private ledger, totalled into one net worth. On Moflow+, the AI you connect can read that ledger. The question becomes a sentence you type.
Questions for your AI about your net worth
Moflow supplies no AI — you connect your own. You keep asking in the app you chat in today, in plain words. Moflow gives it your ledger to read, and to write to when you ask.
The ledger already holds the totals, in the accounts' own currencies and in yours, so your AI reads them there. Questions like these:
- How much of my cash is idle?
- How has my net worth changed over the last six months?
- Which accounts hold euros, and what are they worth in dollars?
- Close out last month: read me the rows, then confirm it.
Your AI reads the same ledger you keep in Moflow, with the accounts, balances and snapshots you see on your own screen.
What it can see
- Your net worth, and the totals behind it.
- Accounts and balances, in their own currency and in your display currency.
- Holdings, with their prices, cost and lots.
- Monthly snapshots and trends.
- Connected accounts, with the institution and the time their prices are from.
What it can change, when you ask
- A balance, or an investment account's cash.
- Accounts: add one, or delete one permanently.
- Holdings: add or close one, and correct its lots.
- Same-currency transfers in your ledger, from planned to in transit to cleared.
- The month: capture it, correct a row, confirm it.
Every one of these is a change to your ledger. A transfer here is a record you keep in Moflow, never money moving at your bank, and a confirmed month cannot be rewritten.
Changes follow the app's own rules. A change that breaks one is refused, and nothing is saved. Your AI app may ask you to approve a change first; that setting is its own.
Deleting an account is permanent, and it takes the account's transfers and holdings with it. So the request has to give the account's name, and a name that does not match deletes nothing.
What your AI cannot do through Moflow
- Through Moflow, it cannot trade, place an order, or move money at a bank or broker.
- It cannot change a connected account's holdings or prices. Those come from the brokerage.
- Moflow never receives your broker sign-in details, so it has none to pass on.
Your AI, your say
When you add Moflow in your AI app, the app sends you to Moflow. You sign in or create an account, and a screen names your AI and asks you to allow it. It lists what your AI may read and what it may write. Until you select Allow, nothing is connected.
Disconnect it anytime in Settings › AI assistant. It loses access to your ledger straight away.
Who sees your ledger: you, the AI you connect, and Moflow to run the service. Once your AI reads something, its provider's privacy notice covers what it keeps. On Moflow's side, your ledger is encrypted in transit and at rest and used only to serve you. Moflow never sells it and never uses it for advertising. The privacy notice has the rest.
Where it works
Access works on Moflow+. On Free, the connection saves and waits.
Moflow+ is also the plan that connects a supported brokerage. Its positions, cash and balances arrive on their own and stay current, so what your AI reads from that account is what the brokerage last reported, with the time beside it.
Not every AI app can connect. Where one can, its own plan and workspace settings may decide whether your account can add Moflow. The steps are on Connect your AI, and the AI connector page shows the rest.
