What Moflow is
Moflow is a personal wealth-tracking tool. You record your accounts, holdings and transfers, and Moflow values them in one currency, keeps your monthly history, and shows you where your net worth is heading.
Not investment advice — Moflow reports what you hold and what it is worth; decisions are yours.
To be concrete about what that means: Moflow never tells you what to buy, sell or hold. It records what you own and what it is worth, and it can be wrong — the prices, the conversions and the projections are arithmetic on third-party data and on the numbers you enter, not the work of a licensed adviser. Moflow is not a broker, not a custodian, not a bank, and not an accounting system: it holds no money, executes no trades, and does not track individual expenses. Prices and exchange rates come from third-party providers, are snapshotted rather than live, and may be delayed, wrong, or missing.
Your account, and using Moflow without one
You do not need an account: your data lives in your browser on your device, and Moflow works with no sign-in at all. You need an account only to sync across devices or to subscribe — an account is identity, and by itself it changes nothing about where your data lives.
- Moflow is not intended for children, and it is not directed at them.
- Keep your sign-in credentials and your sync passphrase to yourself. The passphrase is what unlocks sync on a device, and we cannot reset it: if you lose it on every device you own, you set sync up again from the ledger on the one you still have.
- One account is one person. Sharing an account shares the whole ledger behind it — every balance and figure in your ledger.
Free and Moflow+
Free keeps the whole on-device ledger — accounts, positions, transfers and snapshots — with no cap on how much you record.
Moflow+ adds your whole history beyond the last twelve snapshots, your AI reading and writing the ledger, a daily price on your listed holdings, projections and the goals on the curve, and the retirement plan — the age you stop, and how long the money lasts. Importing a backup, erasing this device and deleting your account are free on every plan. The current list is always the one on the pricing page, which reads it from the same code that enforces it.
Subscription, renewal and cancellation
Moflow+ costs $199.99 per year, charged by Stripe in the currency shown when you subscribe.
- Billing period. You are charged once a year, starting on the day you subscribe.
- Free trial. Moflow+ can be started as a 14-day free trial. A card is required to start it and nothing is charged for those 14 days; at the end the subscription begins automatically, at the price above for the period you chose, and renews from there. Cancel before the end on the plan page and you are charged nothing at all. The trial is for an account that has not subscribed before; where it does not apply, the plan page offers the ordinary subscription instead.
- Renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price you joined at, until you cancel. Apart from the free trial above, there is no introductory rate and no renewal markup — the price of your plan on the day you join is the price when it renews. If the price ever changes for existing subscribers, you are told before the renewal that applies it, in time to cancel.
- Cancelling. One button on the plan page opens Stripe's billing portal, where you cancel in a click — no email, no retention call. You keep the plan you are on until the period you have already paid for ends, and you are not charged again.
- What a lapse does and does not delete. Nothing on your device is deleted: your ledger and the reasons you wrote stay in it. The paid features stop — your assistant stops answering, so do the daily prices on your holdings, and the snapshots older than your last twelve wait for you rather than being deleted. The synced copy on our servers is kept for 30 days after the lapse and then deleted; re-subscribe inside that window and nothing is lost.
Refunds
A refund requested within 14 days of your first charge is granted in full, no reason needed. After that, and on renewals, cancelling stops the next charge but the period you are in is not refunded — you keep the plan you are on until it ends.
If a charge was a mistake — a duplicate, a renewal you had already cancelled, or a period in which the paid features were not actually available — it is refunded whenever you tell us, not only within 14 days.
How payment works
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on their own hosted page. Your card number, name and billing address go to Stripe and never reach Moflow's servers. What comes back to us is Stripe telling our server that a subscription started, renewed or ended; our server keeps that as a record of which plan your account is on and whether it is paid up. We never see, receive or store a card number or an amount. The privacy policy sets out exactly what does travel.
Taxes: any VAT, GST or sales tax due is handled at checkout by Stripe where it applies.
Your data
What Moflow holds, and what it does with it, is set out in the privacy policy and data charter, claim by claim. The short version: until you turn sync on your ledger stays on your device and there is no server copy of it; with sync on we hold it encrypted in transit and at rest, and read it only to run Moflow for you. It is never sold and never used for advertising.
Importing a backup, erasing this device and deleting your account are free on every plan, from Settings. Deleting the cloud copy is one button in Settings → Sync. A copy of what we hold is not self-serve: ask, and we send you one, machine-readable and free of charge.
What we ask of you
- Do not try to break, overload, or work around the limits on Moflow's servers — the quote, search and exchange-rate endpoints are shared, and abuse of them degrades the product for everyone.
- Do not resell, redistribute or scrape the reason statuses and reason data as a dataset. Reading Moflow's public pages, linking to them and quoting them is welcome; bulk extraction is not.
- Do not use Moflow to give investment advice to other people. It is not built for that and does not qualify you to.
If an account is used to do these things we may suspend it. Where the suspension is not for something that harms other users, any paid period already charged is refunded pro rata.
Availability, and what we do not warrant
Moflow is offered as it is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we do not warrant that prices, exchange rates, reason statuses, projections or retirement plans are accurate, complete or current — both are arithmetic on assumptions you supply, not forecasts. Because your ledger is written into your browser's storage on your own device, an outage of our servers does not take it away from you.
Keeping your own copy is your responsibility. The on-device store lives in your browser's storage, which your browser can clear; turning sync on — free on every plan — is what puts a copy beyond one browser, and until you do there is no server copy for us to restore from.
Changes, and ending things
We may change Moflow and these terms. A change that reduces what you have paid for, or that changes the price you renew at, is told to you before the renewal it applies to, in time to cancel. Changes to this page carry a new “last updated” date.
You can stop using Moflow at any time: cancel the subscription, delete the cloud copy, erase the device store, or delete your account outright. None of those is behind a plan. Nothing on your device is deleted when a subscription ends — your ledger stays where it has always been, and the free plan keeps it.
